Actually having a life seems to make time pass more quickly. Has anyone else ever noticed that?

So work this week was actually not all that bad, even taking into account shovelling shit for an inordinate amount of time. On Thursday night I went to see a band with some girls from work. I saw them before with a different friend who knows the drummer, and it turns out that the work girls also know the drummer. Archaeology is so incestuous. Anyway, I didn't think much of them the first time around, and I thought less of them this time. There were some West African percussionists supporting them though, and that was fun.

And last night it was non-dirty Irish Karen's birthday do in town, so we all went in to that, and I brought Nibbler along. Pants an Mo turned up for a while too. Oh, and Beck and Harry. We ended up in the Village, where the music was surprisingly awful. I don't remember the Village being that bad. But I did kiss a rather lovely boy, which brightened me up considerably. Actually, he was probably the best looking person I've ever kissed. So very, very out of my league. I kept expecting a camera crew to jump out and mock me.

And Nibbler loves archaeologists now. Changing one mind at a time...

I'm heading to see a friend in hospital now, and then on to buy many delicious things to make the mincemeat for Christmas. I might make the cake and puddings tomorrow if I get the chance as well. I'm going to the Gate to see Shining City by (I think) Conor MacPherson tonight. I've heard nothing but good things about it. I better be home from the shops before the ruggerby starts. Come on the Ireland!!

I shouldn't have so much to do with a hangover. Some things just ain't right. I'm surprisingly not-hungover though, considering the amount I drank.
