1. What did you do in 2010 that you'd never done before?
Good question. Stopped eating gluten.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Didn't lose as much weight as I might have liked. Planning to eat more vegetables this year.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Not that I can remember...
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, which is nice.
5. What countries did you visit?
Finland, the States.
6. What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010?
Less debt, but I'm working on it!
7. What date(s) from 2010 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
The whole Christmas period. Awful, just awful. A series of cancelled flights, not getting to spend Christmas with family, all while battling a chest infection.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
I think I was a bit crap this year. Erm... being generally competent at my job.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Starting to eat meat again. It's just so, so hard to find food to eat that has neither meat nor gluten. I'll give up again when I'm more in the hang of the gluten-free thing.
10. Did you suffer any illness or injury?
Just getting over a chest snot plague, which was fun. I also had vertigo for a week in the summer, which was really just the oddest thing. It was unpleasant, but also an interesting experience.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Em, we bought a new laptop. It's a crappy cheap one, but having a computer each again has been awesome.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My dad has been pretty amazing this year. He's lost over 6 stone and has enrolled on a fitness diploma course.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Lib Dems, I'm looking at you.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Rent, paying off debt.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Holidays.
16. What song will always remind you of 2010?
Maybe 'Love Shack' because of Wagner singing it on XFactor. LORB SHACK!
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder?
Happier, probably.
ii. thinner or fatter?
Bit thinner.
iii. richer or poorer?
About the same?
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Gigs, saving, being in the countryside.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Stress.
20. How did you spend Christmas?
At an aunt's next to Heathrow. Extremely not how I expected it to be, but when you have someone to take you in for Christmas you can't really complain.
21. Did you fall in love in 2010?
No.
22. How many one-night stands?
Not a one.
23. What was your favorite TV program?
I'm still enjoying Glee. Sherlock was fun. Mad Men is consistently good. I feel like there's something obvious I'm missing.
24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Yes. Absolutely yes. There's a certain person who needs to run in the other direstion if I ever see him in the street.
25. What was the best book you read?
Non-fiction might have been The Brothers Gardener by Andrea Wulf, about the beginnings of modern gardening and plant collecting. Fiction I'm not sure. I enjoyed lots of books but not many that I'd recommend without a 'BUT'.
26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Erm, I'll get back to you.
27. What did you want to get?
Less poor.
28. What was your favorite film of this year?
Inception probably, but Toy Story 3 was also epic.
29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 27. Stayed home and DH cooked me dinner.
30. What one thing made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Being able to pay my bills. So didn't manage that the year before.
31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2010?
Um, weather-appropriate while verging on but trying to avoid hipsterism.
32. What kept you sane?
Tea. Cats.
33. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Hm, no idea.
34. What political issue stirred you the most?
Stupid Fianna Fucking Fail. I had this one last year, and I think I'll keep it.
35. Who did you miss?
Everyone in Ireland, didn't manage to get home at all in 2010.
36. Who was the best new person you met?
Um, pass.
37. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2010:
I don't think I'm a city mouse.
